I ran a workshop on creating text track and interactive movies using QuickTime. I also heard from Caroline Rye on her Phd which studied the challenges of recording live events on DVD in order to best capture proceedings. I recorded a video of a short piece of her presentation which took her advice to record from up to four angles at once.

PhD supervisor for Nili Naveh
-
Nili successfully completed her PhD in 2005 - her title was 'Developing Algorithmic Thinking in Middle School Pupils in Israel'. This supervision was a pleasure, since in my own past I had taught programming to school pupils and adults. I acted as her director of studies, but also benefited from advice from colleagues in the School of Education, especially Dr. Gill Robinson.
